Kaminiben is a skilled artisan hailing from a humble background. She is an integral part of our organisation, providing employment and training to marginalised women to become self-reliant and future leaders.

Master patchwork artisan Ramiben is among the founding artisans of Gramshree Patan Center. In 2015, while visiting the interiors of Patan, Gramshree witnessed the creativity and skill of local women artisans turning patches of cloth into functional creations.

Tanujaben is a blessed cook with a passion for empowering her daughters and raising them to be changemakers in society. Her story is that of endurance and uphill struggle, which has shaped her entire life.

The Khakhra Training Program was started to uplift the lives of marginalised women by imparting income-generating skills. The collaboration between Gramshree and Share & Care has been fruitful thanks to a long chain of empowering activities across Gujarat’s rural and lower-income areas.

Kaminiben joined Gramshree in 2005 as a trainee embroidery artisan and became the community leader giving employment to 150+ families at our Ranip Center.
Ramiben’s passion for patchwork made her the leader of the Patchwork department of Gramshree Patan Center, where she trains women and conducts workshops.
Tanujaben cooks for the entire Gramshree family every evening, takes catering orders and delivers tiffins, determined to give her two daughters a quality education.
After Khakhra training in Kada village, Tejalben earned her first remuneration of ₹5,500 in a month, working three hours a day, and built a team of trained women.
Gramshree provides assistance to women in need and empowers them to become self-reliant, independent and proud.
We work at the grassroots level to overcome cultural challenges and strengthen our community holistically, with the help of our most precious resource: the people. When one woman is trained, the ripple effect is far-reaching: to her children and spouse, to her neighbours and to the wider community.
