Tanujaben – Gramshree’s Annapurna

Gramshree's Annapurna

Tanujaben is a blessed cook with a passion for empowering her daughters and raising them to be changemakers in society. Her story is that of endurance and uphill struggle, which has shaped her entire life. Born in Ahmedabad in a daily wager family, Tanujaben was the eldest among her siblings, which compelled her to marry at the tender age of 18 years. Her relation with her husband turned out to be bitter, leading to emotional and mental stress. While her married life was tough, the financial constraints amplified the challenges in her life. However, she was adamant about providing quality education to her two daughters, which she was deprived of during her childhood. In 2015, she joined Gramshree Sumati admin office as a housekeeper. Today she cooks some of the delicious snacks for the entire Gramshree family every evening and feeds everyone with a big smile on her face. To satisfy her financial needs, she takes individual catering orders for small events and delivers tiffins in the morning before reaching to office. She is a part of Gramshree for the past six years and since then living her life to the fullest.

The key issue was that when Congress enacted the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA), it gave the president authority to withdraw areas from oil and gas leasing, but made no mention of revoking previous withdrawals.
